   You have to do routine maintenance or troubleshooting to really appreciate this tool. This is for when you're tyring to strip a 1" stub of cable inside of a metal device box. You can either wreck yous knuckles using a utility knife or be a lot quicker with the Knipex end stripper. Worth its weight in gold. The thumbwheel makes your cut depth repeatable. I don't use it, after practice you can go by feel. I also found the tool stores easier with the center spring removed.
